LAI's Leadership Team

David Lakritz

CEO

David has over 30 years of experience in management and business development within the language, gaming and technology industries, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

David is the inventor and author of seven issued patents in core language technology and translation management systems and the chief architect of its core products.

Prior to founding LAI, David was a system performance architect at NeXT, and a computer engineer, architect and group manager at Amdahl Corporation (now part of Fujitsu Ltd).

David holds an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. David is also a Japanese-to-English technical translator and has lived and traveled extensively throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.

David’s interests include cycling, birding, traveling, theater (acting and playwriting) and reading. David is also an amateur harpsichordist and enjoys the music of the Baroque.

Dan Igcol

Head of Creative Design

Since my primary education, I have actively pursued and refined my creative skills through competitive endeavors. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with companies that provided me with valuable mentorship and exposure to diverse tools and techniques significantly enhancing my creative design experience.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design in 2016 and received the University Award as Artist of the Year.

In my free time, I enjoy playing computer games and participating in community service activities. I have recently discovered a new passion for running.

Hyvi Cook

Head of Quality Assurance

As a registered nurse with a deep-seated passion for business and technology, I approach technology with the same meticulous care and dedication I apply to patient care. My commitment to quality assurance ensures that the products of my work reflect the highest standards of precision and reliability.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2007 and am working on my MBA. I have been in business and technology for 17 years.

I am an avid sports enthusiast, with a passion for marathons, river trekking, scuba diving, and pilates. In addition to my active lifestyle, I am also an avid reader and dedicate my weekends to volunteering at an animal rescue shelter.

Alan Cook

Head of Software

With nearly three decades of experience in the software industry, I possess a proven track record of success. My expertise lies in crafting clean, efficient and maintainable code, honed through my contributions to prominent organizations such as CODEFAB and other leading Fortune 500 companies. I am dedicated to driving innovation and am proud to have played a significant role in LAI’s continued success.

After a successful career in Engineering, I shifted my focus to Software in 2000, where I became the lead engineer on the Barnes & Noble iPad project. The rest is history.

I enjoy watching hockey in my free time, spending time outdoors – walking my dogs in fields and on the beach, often accompanied with a refreshing cold margarita as the sun sets.

Karin Cederskoog

Project Manager / Marketing Consultant

Karin (www.karincederskoog.com) is a Consultant with LAI with over a decade of experience in the video game industry across game design, production and project management. Among other tasks, she launches marketing projects, which she manages from conception to completion.

Karin holds an MBA in International Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a BA in Comparative Literature from San Francisco State University. She also studied game design at FutureGames in Stockholm and is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®.

She is a linguistic enthusiast, with intermediate skills in French, Spanish and Swedish and traveled extensively throughout the Asia Pacific for nearly 2 years. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, literature, gaming and landscaping.
